And now we're settling into the routine. In the final week of every month, I'll share these regular updates. They're gonna get fairly boring, as I just note that the teams are working on the book and we track incremental progress, but it's important that our communication remains constant and consistent. So let's get to it.
I'll be including a link back to the draft manuscripts in these updates because it'll be a while before we get our Backer PDF version and in the meantime I'm sure some will misplace any downloaded copies. I'll keep this bit here in future updates until our backer PDFs go out. Note that it's also available in your BackerKit digital rewards download page.
Our main book is in editing. The development team is still putting together notes from our campaign to build the outlines for our supplemental rewards and will be assigning writers in the upcoming months.

February '23: Regular Month End Update - Progress Tracking

Hello Superstars,
I know it's only been a few weeks since our last update, but I wanted to start our regular month end status update posts as soon as possible so we can establish our routine.
Before we dig in, a quick refresher of the most recent updates:
FEB 1 '23 Update: PLEDGE MANAGER SURVEYS - We've launched our Pledge Manager for the campaign. Using these surveys, you'll be able to set up your Backer Name Submission for the deluxe book, as well as confirming your rewards and possibly adding on additional options. We handle all of our reward fulfillment through BackerKit, so you must complete your survey to be set up to receive your rewards. The Pledge Manager will be open for a long time - we don't lock it down until we're beginning manufacturing of the deluxe books, so you'll have tons of time to revise and revisit if necessary.
FEB 13 '23 Update: ADD ON PDF DISTRIBUTION - Our first wave of rewards, the existing PDFs that were offered as Add On options during the Kickstarter campaign. You can still add these on in your Pledge Manager.

And with the surveys up and running and that big wave of existing titles distributed to backers, it's time to monitor the monthly progress on our Kickstarter rewards from this campaign. There's still a long road ahead and a lot of work to be done on these projects, but we're going to have these regular updates at the end of each month to keep track of where we sit on our rewards.
MONTHLY UPDATES
We're still in the earliest stages of this post-campaign, where projects make incremental movements along the progress path. A lot of months will be pretty similar, just a quick note to let you know that the Onyx Path team is still working on it. Any time we have a new reward or something of interest to share, I'll include that as well.
At the end of each month, I'll include a summary of our rewards and their current status (they'll either be delivered or marked as still pending, possibly with additional details if I know more). I'll also list any relevant Update posts, in case you want to go back and check into something.
In addition to notes on our reward status, each month I'll also include the BackerKit links and my How To PDF notes, as well as contact information in case you need to get in touch, and a link back to our compiled draft manuscript.

This is our monthly project progress character sheet. We'll be filling in the dots as the Onyx Path team moves the project through the stages of development and production. As noted, we're in the very earliest stages of this project. Our main reward, the Sidereals book, is in editing, which means the latest manuscript draft has been reviewed and approved by all of the bosses and developers and guardians of Exalted and has undergone one more round of development to ensure the book is written in a consistent voice throughout, and is now with the editing team to correct any spelling or grammar issues and make sure everything's as clear as can be. A lot of this work is guided by your Feedback Form submissions during the campaign, so thanks for that!
The Sidereals book will eventually come to us in three forms - first, the PDF, which will be sent out as an Advance PDF to all backers when it's ready and allow us one last chance to review and offer suggestions and corrections before it's finalized. Once that's done, work will begin on the finalizing the Print-On-Demand version of the PDF which will be released through DriveThruRPG via their printing partners, and of course the big reward, the deluxe hardcover book which will come when all of the dots are filled in across the top row. It'll take some time, but we'll get to see that slowly happen month to month.
In terms of our Stretch Goals, these books are in the earliest stages. We just brought them from concept into project status with our support during the campaign, so now the developers have to take our Stretch Goals and turn them into outlines and start assigning writers and creating contracts. Then the writers begin writing drafts and the developers help guide with feedback (redlines) until a final draft is reached, when the developers bring everything together to turn it into one big manuscript.
In addition to the Sidereals-specific rewards listed here, there is one other ADD ON options that should be noted. Exigents:Out of the Ashes is currently in post-editing development, so has a similar journey ahead. It's just a little bit ahead of Sidereals. Once Exigents is ready and approved I'll be sending out the Advance PDF to backers who've added that to their rewards list, but that's still quite some time away. But don't worry that it's not listed here, it's all set up in the systems that run in the background (and in my brain).
As rewards move from the Pending to the Distributed lists, they'll show up in this section. With each, I'll note which updates are related to the rewards in case you need to go back for more info.

It's been a few weeks since we started the Pledge Manager survey process, and we're just about at the 80% response threshold so I've got some real data to look at and orders to start fulfilling. We use BackerKit's Pledge Manager to fulfill all of our rewards, so please fill out your survey and start your Sidereals: Charting Fate's Course Pledge Manager page if you haven't already.

Many of the rewards for our kickstarter projects take a lot of time and effort to complete. Usually, the kickstarter is a means of moving the project from an idea (even when it's a mostly-fully-written idea) into the actual channel that turns it into a project/product. It'll be a while before we're ready to talk about delivery on Sidereals:Charting Fate's Course, and even longer for our projects generated via Stretch Goals (theSiderealsCompanion, Sidereals jumpstart, thenovella,and the rest).
That said, there are a few rewards that are available now, as they were mostly add-on PDFs of existing products. And now we can work on getting those out to you over the week.

REWARD DISTRIBUTION
Your link to claim these digital rewards will be sent out by our BackerKit pledge manager over the nextfew days. Since we are using our partners at DriveThruRPG as the hosts for these, you will need to set up a DriveThru account if you don't have one already. Thebest way to ensure these redemption codes work smoothly is to log in to your DTRPG account first, and then click (or copy) the link shown in your BackerKit.

I'll be releasing them in waves, so don't panic if you only see a couple links at first... the rest are coming. (We're in a digital world, but there are still a lot of manual processes. And there are manylinks to go out!!)
The easiest way to see if you've got digital downloads available is to login to your backerkit account: https://sidereals.backerkit.com/ and it'll show anything available. Your backerkit account should also confirm all rewards that you should expect from your reward tier selected.

Time for Pledge Manager Surveys

As noted in our update from last week, it's time for the Pledge Manager to open up and they survey process to start!
Starting in just over three weeks I will send out the first of our regular month end updates. Near the end of each month, I will be sending out an update with status notes on our main projects as well as the Stretch Goal projects we added. As noted in previous updates, these projects take a long time to put together. You've seen the manuscript preview PDFs, but there are still many moving pieces and puzzles to solve in turning these manuscripts into awesome books. These month-end updates ensure that communication is constant and consistent, and that we're all on the same page with regards to where we stand.
That's info for theend of February,though. Let's talk about this now instead, because...

BACKER SURVEYS
Over the next few days, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.
You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey (although that may help keep things organized if you've got multiple projects going.) When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey invitation link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!
The e-mail will look something like this:
After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts, and that won't happen until the books are printed and we're preparing to ship.

If there are any issues you find with the Pledge Manager, please contact me as soon as possible to let me know. It rolls out in waves so that I can correct issues on the fly and make it work as best possible as people come on board.

Within the BackerKit Survey and Pledge Manager, you can:
Review your Pledge Tier Selection and Rewards
Upgrade your Reward Tier pledge selection
Confirm Add On selections
Set up payment information for any failed payments from the Kickstarter campaign or to pay for any new Add On options selected.
Whenyou click on your BackerKit invitation link,you should see something like this...
From the BackerKit welcome page you can choose to
Review Your Pledge Level and Rewards
Start Your Survey, confirming pledge rewards, confirming or selecting new Add On options, and confirming any shipping and payment info that may be needed
Switch Your Pledge Level
If you've pledged to a reward tier that includes physical rewards, you can enter your shipping country at this stage. As noted during our campaign, we haven't set international shipping costs yet - those will be calculated and added in when we're preparing to ship the book. That won't be for a long time, though, and there will be plenty of opportunity - and notice - for you to make changes.
If you click on your Pledge Level, you will see a list of all items included in your Pledge Rewards, and also have the option to switch your Pledge Level, in case you've decided to get the hardcover instead of just the PDF for example.
Once you've confirmed that your Pledge Level is correct and where you want it to be, you can GETSTARTED with your BackerKit Pledge Manager Survey.
Once we've got a fair response to our survey and collected a reasonable amount of info, I'll be working on fulfilling rewards that are available now - like the PDFs of the titles included in our Add On section (for example, Exalted Third Edition Core Rules, Dragon-Blooded: What Fire Has Wrought, Lunars: Fangs at the Gate, the digital bundles, and a few other titles...). THAT will be coming around mid-February. Or maybe sooner, if we can manage it.
So, in summary:

Get Started on your survey
Confirm your Pledge Level (or SWITCH your Pledge Level if you want to change it)
Confirm and Select Any Add On options
Confirm Your Shipping Information (if needed)
